CMA - Holden Terrace
Meld worked with the contractors to establish a scope of repair and replacement for sandstone and marble pavers and steps. Marble balusters were also replaced and a large statue that had become unstable was reset on a new foundation. The renovated terrace, originally designed by the Olmsted brothers, is scheduled to re-open in the Fall of 2020.
Meld partnered with WR Restoration and the Ritenour Group to help the Cleveland Museum of Art renovate the historic Holden Terrace located at the south end of Wade Lagoon. With spectacular views of the lagoon and the museum’s primary elevation, Holden terrace acts as a gateway to the museum and is an ideal location for private events. Deterioration and inconsistent maintenance had left the terrace in need of extensive repair.
