Meld Architects was engaged by Mayfield Village to provide conceptual design options for a new bandshell to be installed at The Grove Amphitheatre. The selected design includes sculptural stone walls and branching steel columns supporting a barrel-vaulted wood bandshell. The design engages the natural surroundings with the organic shapes and natural materials. The bandshell protects the performance area and helps to direct the sound towards the audience.
